UK Deregulation

After many years of negotiation, during 2007 a new class of un-regulated, single seat aircraft will be introduced in the UK.

Unfortunately the CAA did not see fit to de-regulate all existing single-seat ultralights and instead established a new class for (currently) non-existent aircraft having a max. dry empty weight of 115kg and a max wing load (DE) of 10kg per square metre.

Although we considered an Elf could be produced to meet this requirement, we decided, after much discussion with potential UK customers, to produce the Elf as a fully certified, Section ‘S’, aircraft, at it’s current weight specification and performance.

For those planning to build microlights for this new class, we are pleased to offer engines, propellers and ballistics parachutes (see price list).
